 Visiting Hours
Visitation practices are based on ensuring that the patient, roommate and other patients on the unit have a right to an environment that promotes comfort, rest, privacy and quiet.
Visitation at Greene Memorial Hospital is flexible and individualized for each patient.
Please speak to your nurse regarding:
- Unit specific visiting hours
- Children visiting
- Number of visitors
- Visiting restrictions due to illness
At times, visitors may be asked to go to a waiting lounge for the privacy and rest of the patient or roommate or for patient care procedures.
The number of visitors may be limited for the privacy and rest of the patient or roommate or due to room size.
When children visit, they must be free from infection and be under adult supervision at all times.
Overnight Visitation
Greene Memorial Hospital will make every effort to arrange overnight accommodations for a family member or friend. Talk with your nurse if you have questions about overnight visitation.
Cafeteria
The Greene Memorial Hospital cafeteria is located on the ground floor of the main hospital and is open to all visitors. Please note that the cafeteria is currently closed on the weekends and all major holidays.*
Cafeteria hours of operation:
- Breakfast: 7:30 A.M. - 8:30 A.M.
- Break: 9:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M.
- Lunch: 11 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
- Dinner 5 P.M. - 6:15 P.M.
Vending
Vending machines are located in the waiting room of the Emergency Trauma Center on the ground floor, in the cafeteria area and on the second floor next to the Acute CareUnit.
Coffee Shop
The Greene Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Coffee Shop is located on the hospital's first floor in the hallway connecting the main building and the Vera T. Schneider Outpatient Facility. Coffee, donuts, soft drinks, sandwiches and more are available daily.
*The coffee shop is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. and again from 5 to 6 P.M.
Gift Shop
The Greene Memorial Hospital Gift Shop is located on the first floor just inside the main hospital entrance.
The gift shop is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and Saturday from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M.
To order flowers, gift items, magazines, or sundries from the gift shop, call 352-2191. Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
Proceeds from the gift shop are used by the GMH Auxiliary to benefit the programs, patients and services of Greene Memorial Hospital.
